Do you know, I saw peace today?
A friend asked me, “Where?”
“Everywhere, everywhere you didn’t feel it.
In the river, in the trees, in the oceans, in people,
and even in animals.
Yes, I have seen peace everywhere.
In the world, between people,
yes, there is war.
But, there is love too,
and in that love, there is truth.
And in all of this, I have seen peace.
In gardens filled with flowers,
in the smiles of little children,
on the roads that you and I walk,
in the warm, caring hands of a mother.
Yes, I have seen peace everywhere.
What about you?
Have you seen peace anywhere?
Because maybe you are not looking…”
